Not quite a typical 'Heaven' capture but still very nice indeed. I like the way you've captured these two on the leaf and details are very sharp. The light seems a bit strong but colours are lovely too and I like the 'sun' in the background!

Les papillons posent de façon presque semblable, Markus, et donnent à la composition une symétrie étonnante! J'ai cru à un miroir au premier regard. Les couleur sont splendides, vraiment pures, et la clarté de la lumière et sa limpidité valent à elles seules le post. Plus un arrière plan superbement crémeux, voilà, une autre très belle photo ajoutée à ta galerie et au plaisir de nos yeux. Merci!

Markus, it is some butterfly of the Pieridae family, but I do not know what sub-species.
You are being modest; it is a wonderful image -- both technically and aesthetically. Superb focus on the mating subjects with sharp details and pleasant natural colours.
I copied a beautiful landscape picture of Dolomites from the Net and it embellishes the screen of my monitor. That is one place I would love to see with my own eyes though I am past the age for climbing those pillars of rock Dolomites are famous for.
I wish you speedy recovery after the surgery. Hope my trite homour would offer you some amusement if you really read it during your recovery period.

Hallo Markus,
so, nun bist Du bei den Makro-niern angekommen, und das mit einem tollen Sprung in die Entomologie, gratuliere. Das Bild ist Dir gut gelungen, Komposition, Farben, Schärfe, interessantes Licht (bei Dir natürlich Gegenlicht).

Zur Bestimmung: zuerst habe ich zunächst an Rapsweissling gedacht, ein überall häufig auftretender Falter. Aber die Flügelspitzen sind nicht gelblich, der kleine gelbe Bug des Hinterflügels ist knallig gelb und es fehlen die schwarzen Punkte, also: Artogeia bryoniae Hbn., Mountain green veined white. Das ist eine zirkumpolare Art mit einem isolierten Reliktvorkommen in den Alpen. Sie hat nicht einmal einen deutschen Namen. Wie ich schon sagte: toller Sprung in die Entomologie. Also, jetzt forderst Du mich heraus, umgekehrt einen ersten Schritt in Deine Photowelt zu wagen, wie fange ich das nur an?

Wie ich nach Dieters Bestimmung feststelle, bringst Du uns nicht nur ein schönes und stimmungsvolles Bild, aber auch noch einen nicht oft gezeigten Falter. Schöne Symetrie der Weisslinge und feines Licht. Gut gemacht Markus. Und ich glaube, Du hast noch andere auf Reserve..

Why do you say it's not perfect? It is perfect!
I love the focus here, it couldn't be better, the details are all clear and sharp and the blurred background gives a fantastic depth. It's symmetrical and unsymmetrical at the same time! Beautiful butterflies, beautiful photo!

An absolute beauty from you...a refreshing post in your gallery!
I think it's nice to break the habits sometimes and just as i sometimes post an abstract, you posted this macro.
You did a terrific job in my opinion and the overall sharpness that resulted is excellent!
I also love the texture on both of them (especially the eyes of the one from the right side), the bokeh in the BG and all the colors.

Hallo Markus,
an exceptionally beautiful capture of Pieris napi in copulation. I love the very pleasantly dim and yet well shaping light that shows all the fine structures of wings, and the very rich spectre of pastel colours that are making this image look particularly beautiful to me.
Dein Foto ist nicht nur ein herausragendes Dokument dieser hübschen Falterart. Es gibt auch die Atmosphäre der Frische und Leichtigkeit des Frühlings im Bergwald sehr gut wieder.
