Another mood and side of the famous Giants Causeway.
The Giants Causeway is a region located at the tip of Northern Ireland and is renowned world wide for its beauty and unique geological qualities. The region is made of a volcanic rock called basalt which flowed out of the earths crust some 50-60 million years ago. When it cooled and solidified the chemical elements in the basalt formed approximately some 40,000 geometric, mostly hexagonal, shapes. |
