Hi all friends,

Macro shot of young grasshopper, taken near Olsztyn, strong light makes the insect very bright sp I had to play with curves and highlight in Photoshop to balance the lighting. I hope You will like the effect.

'Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects of the suborder Caelifera in the order Orthoptera. To distinguish them from bush crickets or katydids, they are sometimes referred to as short-horned grasshoppers. Species that change colour and behaviour at high population densities are called locusts.'

Hi Adrian. A good close up of the young Grasshopper. Good detail and natural colours. a good side view and low POV. Maybe a f6 or f8 the picture would be a little sharper. but still a good shot. I tried to get one today but it would not stop still you did. well TFS.

I like the close-crop comp and it's an interesting POV.
Nice color and exposure, good detail.
Great job adjusting curves/highlights, especially if the light was as strong as you say it was.

A nice capture of this beautiful grasshopper nymph. Superb details and a very good composition. But I would have liked to keep the whole grasshopper in frame. Anyway it is just my taste of composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.
