[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I came across this birds accidental in an evening, near Saraturi Lake. I never saw before this bird and I was impressed by his ability to be very well camuflated. In fact I was watching to the Himantopus - Black Winged Stilt - when suddenly - I saw that between me and Himantopus is an other interesting bird, (in fact there where 4 pieces) looking me with larege eyes. Watching by my binocular I understood that
is a new species for me. What interesting!
From Collins Pocket Guide: The Pratincoles - Glareolidae - are terrestrial, plover-like birds with pointed decurved bill, often appearing to stand on tiptoe, stretching neck. Sexes alike. Pratincoles are short-legged aerial feeders, swallow-like or terne-like in flight, with long pointed wings, forked tail and short bill.

Hi Bandacu. What a unusual pose in this picture , good timing on your part to have captured it. You have used the light so well giving warm colours . the late sun has helped in this one. Good detail and natural colours. I like the way we can see the orange feathers under the wing. well done TFS.

Imi face mare placere sa vad o noua poza de-a ta. Ce postura interesanta are pasarea din fotografie! Calitatea imaginii este, ca de obicei, foarte buna iar fundalul neclar este de efect.
