Hello everyone,

this is following on from yesterday's post, from Kimmeridge Bay in Dorset.
Taken about a quarter of an hour later, the sun has now dipped behind the cliffs on the horizon and is flooding light through the red end of the spectrum.

I'll probably be taking a little bit of a break from TN for a while I think. I am also off on a two week break so my presence would only be intermittant at best anyway...

Take care and i will see you all soon, my friends. Keep shooting :o)

shot in RAW, curves, midtones increased a touch, saturation + 4, resized, converted to JPEG and sharpened.

Thanks for looking..

Hello Paul,
Excellent shot reflecting quite the mood of the times and the day... superb colours, contrasts and sharpness

I love the grey rock that makes a wonderful element to the whole composition. The orange skies and the dark silhoutte of the mountains afar annouce a day that is over...
But then tommorow will dawn and sun will shine again....
Have a good time..

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Hello Paul,
Lovely sunset at Kimmerige Bay. The colours and lighting are great but most of all I very much like the composition with the juxtaposition of the conglomerate rock in the FG with the headland on the skyline.
I'll be taking a break from TN too for a couple of weeks or so but I'll be looking in now and then.
I hope you'll be back soon but in the meantime enjoy your break.
Best wishes, Ivan

Hello Paul,
Fantastic photo in wonderful colours. Great DOF and composition. Very sharp.
See you soon and have a nice break.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Paul

I like this one much better than yerterday's :)
I think that the time delay gave this shot a much "deeper" sense and tonal range and therefore it's natural contrast and attractively has grown...for me at least :)
The composition is equally good and very aesthetic - the left hand rock leading hte eye well into the depth. I particularly like the dark rock from the FG here - the one with the strongest reflection...it brings so much attention here and it balances the places of bright colors in the frame superbly!
Top work once more, mate!

Sorry to hear you too are affected by the stuff going on here on TN, but i think in a way we all are :(
It's nice to hear you'll have some time off and i hope you'll be doing a lot of shooting - always looking forward to seeing new shots from you :) By the way, are you ever going to have a website? :))
Well...take care and hope to see you back!
Cheers
Horia

Like a card that comes in the mail that announces the passing of a friend, this photo's frame tells us some sad news.

Indeed , dark days appear to have suddenly arrived. In the distance there I see a croq.

Hi Paul
You captured beautiful reflections from the sun in this photo.

Betsie

Hello Paul,

Have a great holiday.
I just have the feeling that there will be some excellent photos to post on your return!

The colours on this are amazing!
It resembles something from a science fiction film!
Perfect composition and I love how the silhouetted headland is dividing the sea from the sky.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Paul, another fantastic composition, the light is so beautiful and the long exposure gives it a unreal look, thanks!

Hi Paul
I shall certainly miss you. With the permanent loss of one of our members and the "vacations" of many others, it is much too quite around here.

I do hope that you will be able to show me some of these lovley spots next year. The low PoV does it great justice and the colours are superb once again

Hello Paul,

It looks at the FG real silver. At most in this photo I like the colorful sky and the reflection on the wet rock very much.
Superb colours, contrasts and sharpness

Paul my TN friend, take care and I hope will see you soon.

Regards and see you Bob

Hello Paul. Your landscape capture is top class. This one is very well composed in tall frame. The camera tilt is really good and the depth is brilliant. The glow and the detail are just amazing. Well done. Jusni

Hi Paul,
The oily rocks in the FG are most wonderful. Its is as if the Exxon Valdez was hear a while ago, but I am glad its all natural. The composition is, as always, impressive and the fact that 15 minutes can create a different mood to a photo is great. The intens orange color of the sky is something I don't see that often.
TFS,
Niek
