Hello my Friends!

This is my first so-so picture of dragonfly in flight. I was waiting for such picture for more then four years and today took it :-) Of course this isn't best picture, but forgive me, it is really important for me :-)

I want to dedicate my first in flight shot to everyone for whom Trek Nature is more then another site with pictures.

For admins for lots of hard work and for users on vacations and still active ones. I hope everything on this site will be ok soon.

Hello Greg,
The lighting in this in-flight of a dragonfly is superb and though it is also pretty sharp, the lighting is what makes the picture so fine, shining on the wings against a contrasting dark BG. Nice frontal POV too.
Thanks for sharing this first-time beauty!
Have a good weekend,
Ivan

Your images truly amaze me Grzegorz. So-so my foot. You wanna see so-so...I would put it online here but nobody would even look...If you take enough images you will soon get a bit closer. I worry about the number of shutter releases said by the companies...I have so many clicks...I wonder..perhaps you can tell me...Was this just one click which I don't think, but many clicks and then finally you got one clear? Paul does similar with his captured birds but I think maybe he has something up his sleeve. Whatever...it is super and well worth the post. I can remember back in the days when something like this was unthinkable even for the pros...today has brought us a whole new natural world eh? Fine image sir!

Hi, Greg,

wonderful photo! I have never seen dragonfly in this direction. haha, almost can't recognize it. The golden light on its wings does give one a feeling of lightness and hope! well done!!

Hi Greg

Hang in there mate, the other will get over it and come back soon, I'm sure.

This is a hard one and oportunity doesn't come often either. I've only had the chance once to take a head on like this, not easy. There's enough detail to make posting worthwhile. But which species is it? :)
Good background. Isn't the DSLR differnt to the S3. So many buttons and settings to remember...

Hello Greg,
I know it isn't easy to get a shot like this!!
Well done! I like the position of the wings and the light effect on the hairs on the thorax. Beautiful dark eyes too - I wonder what species it is? Well done!
TFS and cheers, Ulla

salut Grzegorz
belle image malgré ce que tu puisses en dire, le vol est bien saisi et la lumière dans les ailes est très bien vu. J'ai hâte de voir les prochaines.

Hi Greg,
Congrats on your first inflight shot of the dragon. I also made some experiments with a P&S back time back later. But have never tried it with my DSLR. But now I shall try. Very well composed with sharp details even at 1/125s. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Good shot, greg! Congrats.

Hello Grzegorz,
Fantastic picture! Even if you can find it so-so, for me, it is fantastic! Take this beast in flight, WOW!

Hi Greg,

Great dedication - I guess I'm one of those because here I am. I love this frontal view of the dragonfly in flight. Great timing to get this one. Wonderful colors and details of the face. The blurred wings look fantastic. Nice background and interesting frame.
