Time of exposure: 1.5 hour :) It was really cold outside (-14 Celcius degrees). When I came back after 1.5 hour to take the camera back, I discovered it was all covered with hoar-frost :) It was all white. If you look closer you will notice that the stars are dwindling from one side.

Hello Piotr (my names is Pieter, but my dad always called me Piotr or Pjotr for fun;)). This is a very nice picture. Of course I knew about the effect but I haven't tried it myself and I haven't seen it on TN before. Thanks for showing it to us. It must have been windstill as the trees didn't move at all. Well done!

Regards,
Pieter

Fun star trails, Piotr. The addition of that fir tree really helps to establish movement amongst the stars.

HI Pior,
Nice shot,
I was a bit of a long mission.
YOu did well
I like the colours
:)

Weird, I was just 'talking' about this kind of image.
It looks like a vortex! A great image, I love these star shots, something I am unable to do on my camera.
My only nit is the tree in the way.
Well done and thanks for posting.
