Hyla savignyi (Green Tree Frog) with a deviational skin colour (turquoise) from Lapithos, Kyrenia, Cyprus.

The dorsum is usually a bright green, sometimes changing to gray, yellowish or blackish, sometimes with dark coloured small spots.
An arboreal species; frequenting trees, shrubs, bushes or reeds. Nocturnal in habit, shelters under leaves in the daytime. Not easy to detect because of its colour changing ability. Goes to water only in the breeding season. Feeds on various flying insects and spiders. Has potent poisonous skin secretions. Prefers clean and deep waters with much vegetation for breeding. The vocalisation of the males is quite strong during the breeding period. The walnut sized egg masses are sometimes attached to the vegetation in water, containing 800-1,000 eggs.Is known from Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, Syria, Iran and Transcaucasica. It is widely distributed in the vicinity Lefke (Nicosia), Geçitköy and Lapta (Kyrenia) in Northern Cyprus.

Well Bayram, your green tree frog must be color blind! You have a nice composition and a good point of view in this macro and the colors are vivid. If you had chosen a smaller aperture opening the deepening DOF would render the frog more in-focus. TFS and thanks for the detailed notes. The writing is still out of proportion.
Mehmet

hello Bayram Bey,
this is very beautiful tree frog species and its nice shot with great POV, composition. I agree our lecturer Atatür, it must be color blind. TN permit up to 200KB, but its size (byte) very small. You should post it in smaller dimention, but higher resolution.
I tried to a WS, I hope you will like it.
All the best
Ahmet

Hello Bayram,
technically mayby not perfect but I reall like this picture of the beautiful tree frog. If you list all the Hyla species it is just like I want to 'collect' (read: see) them all. I have never seen such a blue specimen of a Hyla. The sardinian hyla is somewhat bluish but this is really fantastic.
regards, Jacob

Hello again!
I am sure that very soon all of your herpetofauna photos will be commented by me ;)
I like this Hyla species because of few reasons:
1. I have never seen this species in the wild
2. it is so blue! Very unusual colour as for amphibian species! (of course except some S American poisonous frogs :>)
On the other hand a little bettles depth of field would be good for this picture because now not entire specimen is in the focus :)
Best greetings,
Radomir

PS. Just to compare, please feel free to look at Hyla arborea from Poland :)

Hocam hayvanın renginden dolayı burya koyduğunuz belli oluyor. Elinize sağlık. Selamlar.

Beautiful frog, but unfortunately it seems as though the focus is off. The POV is great though.
