Ophrys kotschyi;
Plant to 35 cm, with3-7 broad, shining basal lvs. and usualy a stem-leaf and a stem-sheath above; fls. 4-7 or more in a lax spike; sepals green, occas. pinkish, to 15mm;side-petals half as long, olive green, usu. purple-tinged at base; lip ovoid, 12-15mm long, broadest at the middle and taperng through the mid-lobe edges being folded down, brown to blackish-purple; speculum irregular, brown-to-violet, with pure white border which also usu. encloses 3 dark purple patches; basalfield brown to purple; apical protuberances to 2 mm.Fl early Mar-early Apr. Recorded from sits all alonh the northern strip in grassy places, under Pines or Cypress(and also under the alien Eucalyptus and Acacia), on damp fild-verges and occ. sand dunes, often in quantity. But frequency varies from year to year. The only member of the family which is ENDEMİC to CYPRUS, and perhaps the handsomest. Sometimes confused with O.umbilicata, but there the speculum-border is yellowish, not pure white.

L'angle de prise de vue n'est pas excellent mais le sujet apparaît relativement bien détaillé et coloré.
