Hi Ivan

A very beautiful bird and a lovely title to go with it!
Even if you have a good and fast lest which you can use with a converter, these bird are usually very difficult to capture in the wild without the benefit of a hide. I know you and you prefer keeping it 100% natural, just enjoying the beauty of nature while walking through it, and therefore i say it's a terrific shot under these circumstances.
The way the bird stands out from the reeds is lovely and the reflections and colors on its plumage are magnificent!
Very nice details considering the distance and good exposure control, too.

What an unusual bird!!! I suppose you used a tripod but maybe not by the notes..as if you were closing in ...but over 400mm wow..thats a pretty interesting lens with extender. Hard to hand hold no? well you have the depth of field down well..Contrast is fine...borderline but just fine..I think the high quality lens saved a real good shot for you here Ivan...very nice...and again an unusual bird...

This is a beautiful bird!
The iridescent sheen on its wing is amazing!
Despite the heavy crop, the photo has considerable sharpness and pretty good clarity.
Natural colours and great lighting.
Brilliant composition as well.

Another new one for me! The irridescent colors of this Ibis are nothing short of amazing. Even the beak seems to shine. Stands out wonderfully in this natural setting. Thanks for the introduction.

The metallic hues of the ibis are perfectly visible among the reeds, the metallic-looking beak very prominent. The unavoidable clutter of reeds in the fore- and background does not deter the beauty of the composition at all. TFS.

Your ibis in very good color stage. It is very hurd in Cyprus get so close such a bird. I was in Cyprus for a week. Birds was so nervous that we could not get close enough to take some good photos. Great job you did. Greetings,

This bird looks wonderful well justified by the name. I would call this color metallic shine. Very well captured in natural environment of dry grass. Very good shot from 20m to capture the details of this bird. Amazing looking beaks with brilliant sharpness around the head. I like it and very well done.

Great shot - the beak is especially good, plus I like the habitat. Good framing ans exposure - difficult to get a darker bird against a lighter BG I find.

Excelent image, displays a natural environment perfectly. Close- up is notorious. we have here a similar species, Plegadis chihi, with green feathers in wings but more dark grey in neck.
