[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the third and final post of the Yellow Wagtail, showing the race Feldegg.

IN THIS SERIES OF THREE YELLOW WAGTAIL SHOTS IT IS NOT MY PRIMARY INTENTION TO SHOW THESE POSTS FOR THEIR TECHNICAL MERITS, though I am pleased with the first image of the race flava in that respect. It was my purpose to show three of the 11 existing races of this beautiful wagtail.

This individual of the Yellow Wagtail race Feldegg breeds in Turkey and the Balkans: it is also a very rare visitor to Sweden. It is characterised by the black head and is called the Black-headed Wagtail.

This male arrived in Cyprus in the famous Paphos lighthouse area (see the previous post), having spent the winter in tropical Africa. He is looking for insects to give energy to get to his final destination not so far away.

Like the previous post, of the race superciliaris, this shot suffers from heavy cropping owing to the distance from the camera.

I hope you enjoyed seeing three, and in my opinion the most beautiful, of the race types of the Yellow Wagtail. For my part I was lucky to see two of them in Cyprus.

Another lovely Wagtail. I really like this one. Beautiful colors and details and a nice eye. He stands out very well against the reeds and I like the pose on the rock.

I like the yellow wagtail and this one sure is a beauty. I haven't seen this species in Holland. The pose is nice and I guess you cropped it a lot. Interesting post. TFS.

It must be a highly satisfying experience to come across these wonderful birds during your recent trip to Cyprus, Ivan.
This third and last picture of a Turkish Yellow Wagtail in your series is well captured. The focus is pretty sharp and the colours are very nice.

This is interesting Ivan as I thought that it was the same bird but it's not! Its head looks different... I didn't know that there were 3 different species of those beautiful birds. They are very colorful and it must be a real pleasure to see them...

This is a nice capture with superb pose from the bird, beautiful light in its eye, composition and natural environment. I must say that I envy you to have been able to see such nice species. Thanks,

Amazingly composed picture of this beautiful bird. Colours of the shot are wonderful as well as the pictured scene at whole. Well detailed BG suits for this charming bird on the stone perfectly. Great combination. My greetings and TFS.
