Saponaria cypria Boiss is endemic plant of Cyprus
A much branched, suberect perennial 10-30 cm high.
Leaves opposite,simple,entire,glaucous,rather fleshy.
Flowers actinomorphic,solitary or in cymes,petals pink,deeply emarginete, calyx cylindrical,ofte purplish
Fl: July-Sept.
Habitat: Roky areas with forest opening,road banks ,by steams( 1100-1950 m)
Distibutions:Confined to the TroodosForest.
