Common Chameleon
Chamaeleo chamaelon ....Chamaeleonidae.
Translates as " Earth Lion"
Has a very long sticky tongue. Eats small insects.
Some species have ability to change colour.
Eyes rotate and focus separately and have 360 degree vision.

Hello Mike,
We missed this beauty when we were in Cyprus, but chamelions are not animals that one can plan to see and you were lucky to find it.
Nicely caprtured with good sharpness, colour and set in a pleasing composition with the stoney Bg really setting it off.

Nice shot! First time I've seen one of these guys. Good exposure. The colours are nice and vibrant, and the green makes a great contrast against the grey-brown earth. Nice sharpness and detailing too. TFS
