This is a very good photo of Lanius senator (Rödhuvad törnskata). I wish we will get the opportunity to see it here in Sweden some day.

Great composition and technical treatment as you made a heavy crop. You even got a small sparkle in the eye.

This is indeed a prize shot of this passing visitor you happened to come across in Cyprus, Ivan.
A great first-time look at an exotic bird for me too :-) -- after all those rather familiar ducks and drakes!
The plumage of this beautiful migrant bird is very well captured in this picture. What lovely colours!

Hi Ivan. This is a good capture and the photo has great color saturation. I'm wondering if you used a tripod. I would expect that lens to be a bit sharper considering you had bright light. Perhaps it is a resolution issue. Did you crop it much? It is obvious on my monitor that when you blurred the noise you didn't get close to the subjects. There is a kind of rough halo around the sticks and bird.
