Tulipa cypria
Plant with a solitary unbranched stem and single flower held about 30 cm above ground; coming from a 3 cm long often buried equally far below ground; the lowest of the lvs. is up 4 cm wide and 30 cm long, the others progressively smaller; perianth segments 4-6 cm long, DARK CRIMSON, with a BLACK blotch at the base inside, bordered with a narrow YELLOWISH zone.
