More from the archives, the Akamas Peninsula. It was such a beautiful day here, I remember just sitting at this spot for the best part of an hour as the sea spray hit my face. Thinking of many things past and present, daydreaming really.

This wild, undeveloped finger of land jutting into the Mediterranean, is the Akamas Peninsula. It contains a network of nature trails and the Bath of Aphrodite. It is tentatively set-aside as a preservation area, but this status could be in danger.

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 Windows
Exposure Time: 1/100 sec

Very beautiful shot. The details are very rich and the exposure is just right for this landscape image. Well done Stephan. :)

Hi Steve,
Superb shot, I love the effect of the ultra wide angle that makes the ground look as if it's disappearing beneath you. Excellent exposure, great colours and detail throughout. I also like the shutter speed, enough to get some movement in the water but retain some detail. A nice moody sky too. It must have been a great place to sit and ponder life, the universe and everything.
Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Stephan,
A barren yet beautiful seascape! Great use of all that wonderfully textured rock in the foreground. Beautiful subtle colors in this moody light. Overal compostion is superb. A great sense of depth and space. Well done!

You captured nicely the strenth of this sea in this place, only the smell is missing :)
Lovely lights, details and as always a perfect POV.
Thanks, MF for sharing your trips with us.

Hi Steve,
Let me just look and take it all in...
No comments today (I'm contemplating my naval), just humble appreciation :)

Very well done.

Hello Stephen, excllent Landscape, perfect details, Bg, POV, perfect wave action, ncly composed work, TFS Kyle

Hi Stephen,
It looks like a storm was developping over land. Which wasn't that bad, because it helped you with the lighting and with gave you a wild surf. Great POV with the rock in the FG leading me toward the horizon but stopping me at each gap and breaking wave. I remembered that you wrote me that the Canon lens had some problems with sharpness in the corners. Is this the reason why the rocks in the front look a little unsharp?
TFS,
Niek

One must know that a signature style has been developed when others are able to spot your images from the thumbnails! I think that lens was invented for you. I suppose it could be a little sharper but the composition is so powerful that who cares! It is such an interesting POV for an ocean surf picture.
