fine shot for this passerine bird. Although it has long black eye-stripe as in Sitta tephronata; this must be a Sitta europaea with respect to reddish venter. Thanks for sharing, best wishes

ho provato un WS e mi sembrava che migliorasse l'originale, ma confrontando a video non c'è un sostanziale miglioramento; l'immagine ha una buona composizione, ma la qualità è bassa come dici per l'alta sensibilità.

Well the quality is not perfect, but you did your best to capture it. That just show how you like to photograph. I'm sure if you have little longer lens or equipment you will do just fine. Thanks for the great effort.

a very beautiful bird. But if you could sharpen it and make it a bit big it would be wonderful.
anyway the branches make it lively and natural. Good shot.

Honest opinion is what I will give here, although I am not familiar with Finepix S9600 that it allows you to set ISO1600 which is extremely high for a compact. The noise grain is very obvious in this shot and it affects the sharpness and resolution quality, as you already mentioned in your note.

For the composition, the bird is placed at center and there are branches which seem distracting to the photo. I would be curious if you have taken other shots closer?

I believe you faced poor light condition here and had done what a photographer would do best, just try a good shot before the bird getting away.

I see you are working on the workshops which are great for showing skills of pp process.
