This is one of the four wild tulips of Israel. This one blooms in all Mediterranean zones towards the end of spring. No doubt the most beautiful and largest of the bright red geophytes, the petals of this flower may reach 5 cm. The height of the entire plant varies with location and rainfall: from under 10 cm to up to 60 cm.
