Cephalanthera longifolia

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is the “White Orchid” or the “Sword Leaved Helleborine” of the shady areas of the Mediterranean maquis. This is a young plant showing the various stages of the flower development. Many of the mature flowers, as the lowest ones in this specimen, do not open fully. Those that do, show golden tip of the labellum. That may the reason that many of these plants do not produce fruit at all. The flowers are about 25 mm across. The plant can reach a height of about 30 cm, under deal conditions. |

Hi Ishi, good flower...really interesting shapes and shades to this. Excellent POV and a fine DoF sets this off nicely. TFS regards h

Hi Ishi,
Very nice flower, You captured it quite well, the plant's sharp enough. Placing it off-centered on the photo and a little less DOF should do next time, I mean they'd make the image even better, but I have to admit this is nice in this form, too. Tfs.
