[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The name Allium tardiflorum, or Late-Blooming Allium, refers to the previous blooming season. However, it is one of the early bloomers of the season srarting now, thus in Hebrew we call it “Autumnal Allium” (Shoum Stavee).

It is a modest and extremely rare Allium species found only in a few locations on Mt. Carmel. It blooms in late September and October, making it one of the “Harbingers of Fall”. The flowers are small: the petals are about 5 mm long. Like in several other Allium species, the buds and the withered flowers are erect, while the blooming ones are bent down. The leaves appear later in the season.

Hello Ishi,
Allium flowers are very photogenic and you made a very powerful presentation of these fine flowers. I like the way the flowers are displayed, like a firework. Beautiful dark background which enhances the beauty of the fine flowers. Very well composed too. I like the square framing.

your presentation of this Allium is so attractive, because it shows different stages of flowering - starting with buds... and the dark background amplifies the name "tariflorum".
