[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Trichodesma boissieri is an endemic species of the slopes of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea area. Buzz pollination us taking place in the pending flowers. Buzz pollination in wikipedia: in order to release pollen, some insects are able to grab onto the flower and move their flight muscles rapidly, causing the flower and anthers to vibrate, dislodging pollen.

greeting lou

Hi Ori,

A beautiful capture of this plant with good details & dark BG. The note is informative & interesting. TFS.

Regards

Umar

Hi Ori,

Interesting species, and a nice close-up of the scape (I think that's considered a scape, right?) and flowers. The flowers somewhat resemble a plant that occurs here, Dodecatheon meadia, but that species is in a different family entirely.

TFS and best regards,

Desconocía esta especie Ori, pero un placer contemplarla y más con esa claridad, ya que parece estar hecha de noche.
Un abrazo: Josep Ignasi.
