| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Ferula communis (
Umbelliferae) is a tall, up to 2 meters, hemicryptophyte, quite common in the Mediterranean region. It is avoided by grazing animals (“anti-pastoral plant”), thus it is quite common in pastures. This specimen was photographed with a Pinus halepensis as its backdrop.
Picture was not cropped, just slightly contrast enhanced, reduced in size and sharpened. |

Bonjour Ishi,
Elles sont toujours impressionnantes ces grandes férules, qui poussent aussi dans le sud de la France. Le cadrage avec la silhouette du pin d'Alep est très bien vu.
Amicalement
