[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
You can see my name in my mouth :), I am a European Bee-eater, well, it is not exactly a bee but it is very close.

This picture is a crop of the original (about 50%), I took this picture in order to take this crop when I saw that the Bee-eater is very close to me, the sky were very dissapoiting but I used it as one coloured background like in a studio shot.
I will add informative note in my next posts of this European Bee-eater.
One thing to say that this is the beginning of the nesting season and there are a very big groups of Bee-Eaters that are hanging around in there nesting places, they are now building there nests.

Fantastic capture Elroyie! A very special moment, with the bee in it's beak. Colors are great, exposure is perfect. Like you say the sky is a bit of a disappointment but the picture is very good nevertheless. How close was this bee-eater?? The low POV is great. TFS!

Elroyie, Very nice "snacking bird" shot with a great pose. Very good color, Well done.

Very well captured Elroyie,
The details are excellent, sharp and clear. The sky isn't great, but you've shown everything very well.
Thanks for posting

Hi Elroyie, veyr nice capture - it's eating one of my beloved hoverflies! Great shot, maybe a little more light on the head would have been good but it's still very nice. Well done.

Great capture, using the flash could have been better for better light on the face.
Well done.
TFS

Great picture, Elroyie. The colors on this bird are gorgeous, and it is a bonus to show him with a bee in his mouth. Such sharp details. Great composition. : )
