Echinops polyceras is very common throughout the desert of southern Israel. The genus Echinops is a difficult one - because most species hybridyze and there is a genetic mish mash along their meeting points.

Hi Ori,
this is a phantastic thistle.
I like the small flowers and the sticks, the colours is so beautiful.
It's a good contrast to the black background.
