Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) photographed from the car at the 20 km salt pools north of Eilat. The photo was taken with a compact camera through binocular lenses, a method proved to be good in short distances. A finnstick may be useful for supporting the binoculars or just rock-steady hands ;-)
