The Moon.

Photo information:
This moon photo was taken using Canon PowerShot A75 and Meade DS2114 telescope. The camera's lens was manually attached to the telescope's eyepiece, by putting the camera's lens, as close as possible to the eyepiece of the telescope. It required many trial and error, due to handshake and bad angle between the camera and the telescope, which must be precise, in order to avoid as much as possible optical artifacts. Also, focusing is very difficult and requires trial and error.
It was taken at Barak wadi, southern to Ramon crater.

Post-Processing information:
1. Lighten.
2. Remove Chromatic Aberation.
3. Rotate.

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what on earth pictures from outer space have to do with "learning about the world through nature photography"??? Try TrekLens!
Regards, Ulla

what a great clear capture of the moon! :-)
nice to see the one over the negev looks almost like the oe over cologne. *g*
i really like that it is not a full, but a half one.
well done & take care, thor.

and btw. the moon is somehow part of nature, too.
ulla, i guess you would not have dared to write
something like this to Grzegorz when he showed us this.
and it´s more nature than the touristical family-album shot of the australian
surfer beach you showed us.

Hi Shahar!

Great portrait of The Moon! Very good details and sharpness. I like especially shadows inside craters. Needles to say, I'm big fan of astronomy pictures and this one is no exception.

100% agree with Thorsten - white dots on black BG are part of nature and TN :-)

Truly remarkable photo, my five year old and I were totally amazed at the level of detail! Thanks so much for the detailed note, I would love to try this some time!

TFS,

Alli
