Arabian oryx (Oryx leucoryx) is a large antelope which is on the list of endangered species. The two here were part of a group of 14 antelopes at Wadi Masor in the Arava, Israel. They were released a few years ago as a part of a project of reintroducing them back to nature. There are projects of reintroducing arabian oryxes back to nature also in Jordan, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
