Cerastes gasperettii - Arabian horned viper
length: to 75cm
living area: sands in wadi arava (arabe).
beautiful venom snake, that living in areas that some people want to destroy for the sands (buildings and farming).
in the last month we fight on the sands area near kibbutz samar because some people want to digging this sands.
the sands of samar is the last sands area in the southern arava that stay nearly like what they where in the past (but just 2k left).
this sands have lot of animals and plants that living just there (no other place in israe!!). |

You have posted a wonderfull image of this snake. Very good sharpnes showing in great details snake's head. Each scale can be clearly seen. Rendering of eye pattern is excelent too.
