it is praying on small insects an known for amazing eye sight and running speed combined for a super predator.
shot was taken near a small lake in central Israel very near to the sea shore of the mediteranean sea.

Hallo Oz,
another excellent picture posted by you. Spines and surface structure of the wings are well presented. These beetles are very shy and restless. Therefore, I particularly admire the real good close-up.

Only a small correction - the actual genus name for this species in Calomera not Lophyridia.
