another pic of the same species. Narcissus tazetta is one of the beautiful winter flowers in Israel. Its wetlands populations are endangered. This one is found just north of Tel-Aviv city ion an area that is going to be built. We are trying to fight these plans, with minor success for the time being.

Hi Ori,
The blooming of these flowers down in the woods by my house was really short this year.Within about ten days they were gone. You have caught a beautiful bunch here...all of them ripe and full of life. The light on them is great and the colours deep and vibrant.Erev Tov.
Regards, David

We are a long way from Narcissus here in Oregon. They look so cheerful and hopeful. It is a great sharp, well exposed image, Ori. Another option might have been to get a lower point of view... looking straight at them or even up at them with the sky as a simple background. One might even try a wider aperture to blur the background a little. Just ideas that popped into my head.

Hi Ori,
This is so special to me to read that they are winter flowers somewhere in the world :) There is not way that flowers could grow in my country in winter... They are wonderful flowers and I think that you are lucky to see them in the wild like this. Beautiful!

Hi Ori!
This one looks very similar to the Narcissus in Norwegian gardens in late spring. Strange that they are flowering in the middle of the winter.
Very nice shot, good light and colors.
