Crab Spider (Thomasisas spec., Thompsidae).
Crab spiders make great photo subjects. They are colorful, don't move fast and look mean & cool. Crabs spiders sit in flowers and wait for unsuspecting pollinators to come. Usually they rely on a good color match with the flower they are lurking in. This one seems to be at a double handicap: 1. the color does not fit, 2. pollinators don't come to a thistle seedhead. Maybe that's the reason it looks a bit miffed?
