Hi Thorsten

I though I heard a mina singing a funny tune in my backyard this morning. Probably it was this ones cousin that carried forth the rumour via the grapevine.

Indeed it was a pleasure and a privilege to have you around this last two years. Your excellent portfolio is evidence of your great photographic skills while your kind and good humoured critiques are found on the photos of loads and loads of members. May you still have 20x your two years on TN and a couple more for good measure and as bonus to this community. After that you would probably be to old to hold a camera still and then we will gratefully see you go on ritirement. On a personal level, thanks for all that you have meant for me on TN MF. I had many a good laugh reading through your notes, critiques, and comments and hopefully will continue to do so for many years to come.

This is a lovely composition with the vertical frame placing the twig on the 1/3 line and the bird somewhere in the middle of it. The colours are rich and intense to go with the message of the posting, the details are sound and well defined, the blue BG is magic, and the exposure was spot-on.

PS. Btw, congratulations with the photos that were used for the cartoon character and the children's book. Great stuff.

An excellent image to celebrate your first 2 years here!
I like so much the sharpness of the image, and all the clear details got on the bird.
The upward POV is so good, I like the contrast made with the intense blue sky as the background.
I like very much also the vertical composition made to take advantage of the long branch.
Congratulations for the picture and for the anniversary.

you have an excellent collection of photos here on TN.This myna bird is nicely focused and has good colour and the presentation is not cluttered.I'm not surprised that you have been approached about your photos for publishing,makes a fellow feel like he is doing something right.I too have been approached by a publishing firm for one of my photos,the big rock near Okotoks Alberta.Well congratulations on two years of uploads to TN and keep'em coming and thanks to you for your review on my chickadee because now I know about your work.Tfs.
