[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sternbergia colchiciflora is the smallest in its genus. The flowers are almost stalkless, 'sitting' on ground. Its short blooming season and small size make it almost invisible. In Israel it is rare and we grow it at the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens in our shelter garden for endangered species. For 4 years I missed its blooming, but yesterday I cought it.

Ho Ori,
So good you were able to catch this bloom.
I like the clear details of the image, nice sun lighting that spot on the plant's vivid yellow over the dried leafs around.
The aperture used worked pretty well to nicely blur the background.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hi!
Interesting little one!
So this is in family with the crocus? Really a strange flower!
The picture is sharp with a lot of good details and colors are fine.
TFS!
Best regards, Jon.

Hi Ori!

It's abeautiful picture, the plants are so delicate and fragile. I also like the color contrasts very much: the yellow and the green colors of the living plants contrast with the brown of the dead ones.

Kind regards

Markus

Bonjour Ori
Très belle prise de vue.
j'ai vu des Sternbergia en France, mais pas comme celle-ci
Merci
Laurent

Hi Ori,
Great capture, first time I see it

Bonjour Ori,
Amicalement
Hervé
