| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Common Chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita), is a common and widespread leaf warbler. It breeds in open woodlands throughout northern and temperate Europe and Asia. It is a migrant, which winters in southern and western Europe, southern Asia and north Africa.
This is the only leaf warbler's species, which spend all the winter in Israel and not only pass to southern lands.
It is a small insectivorous bird, named for its simple chiff-chaff song. I found this individual in the University Botanical Garden, jumping from the trunk and branches to the air, after tiny flying insects, and revert, again and again. |

Hi Yedidia. A good close u[p of this Chiffchaff. you have captured it with fine detail and natural colours. with a nice pose on the tree. stands out well against the dark BG. well done TFS. good notes too.
Nick..
Hi
I will be malicious, but: the bird is in full medium of the photograph, the photograph is over-exposed in spite of Center Weighted Average (can be a spot measurement), and the black bottom is disturbed.
Regards
Fred
great capture ! I would crop the right side, so the bird is not exactly in the middle. dash Ori
Hello Yedidia,
maybe not perfect composition, but the bird is captured in very nice pose and sharpness is very good!
* a tried a little diferent composition with a workshop, hope you don't mind :)
best regards,
Dejan

Hello Yedidia, you have done very well on that Chiffchaff capture. The details are very sharp, the exposure is fine and the background does a very nice contrast. Thanks,
Mario
