Bellevalia flexuosa
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A common flower of the Lilaceae, the flowers barely open to expose the six black anthers (not seen here). The buds are tightly packed at the top of the flower-head. The old flowers turn brown. As with many other lily family species, the lower flowers bloom first. Note the violet color of the stem and pedicels (flower “stems”). Each flower is about 8 mm long.
The picture was taken this morning in full sunshine, not long after a light rain. |

Hi Ishi,
I think this plant is a problematic object, in some aspects. Several times I tried to photograph it and I did not satisfied from the results.
You did it very well and this fine composition represents the plant's demure beauty.
Best regards,
Yedidia
Bonjour Ishi,
Très intéressant cliché de cette Bellevalia. Ce genre ne compte que trois espèces en France (très belles aussi).
Amicalement
