| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
One of the smallest violets, the flowers of Viola modesta, is modest indeed, measuring no more than 4 mm. However, a closer look reveals the beauty in this modest one. It is not unlike its much more showy relatives, the pansies.
It is quite rare in Israel, found in Mt. Hermon (where this specimen was recorded) and in other semi-arid areas, on the edge of the desert. |

Hi Ishi!
It may be modest, small and simple, but this doesn't change anything to the fact that it is beautiful. We know similar kinds here, too, but what is surprising for us is to see it growing in that red earth. You have very well put it on stage.
Kind regards
Markus

hello Ishi,
Violets are of my favourite flowers and these ones are just a little wonder so small and living in a semi-arid area. You made a very pleasant composition and I like the natural colours of your shot. Thanks for it.
Best regards
Anne
