Astragalus deinacanthus
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Astragalus deinacanthus is one of the showiest of the 47 species of A. we have in Israel. The flowers are concentrated in a globular cluster, 5 to 10 cm in diameter (about 8 cm in the shown specimen). The leaves emerge below and above the flower cluster. The lower part of the plant has spikes reaching a length of 15 cm. It is rather rare, growing in batha or semi-steppe batha. |

Hello Ishi,
This looks like a spinweb.
Good of details and for determination.
Lots of details and good of sharpness.

Bonjour Ishi,
It's Astragalus-time now. Interesting species you show us here. Well framed presentation with a good view on the flower and the leaves. I have found one, more hairy, but with the same colour as yours. I suppose that we can expect other species from you. You have great choice in Israel!
Have a nice day
Anne
Bonjour Ishi,
Une très belle espèce, avec une inflorescence généreuse. Il y a de nombreuses espèces d'astragales dans le sud de la France, mais sans doute beaucoup moins que dans la région.
Amicalement
