Long-eared Hedgehog

Long-eared Hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus):
I got this little guy in our (former) garden in the costal plain of Israel. It kept still when I approached it and allowed me to flash it at very close range. This is a fast and agile animal usually, and somewhat friendly (clearly not like the 10 foot hedgehog "Spiny Norman" of Monty Phyton fame). |

Hi Claus,
you just surprised this nice little Hedgehog. Good shot. In Switzerland we have only the
western European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus).

Pierre
