[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The coiled leaves of Pancratium sickenbergeri are always amazing. The coiling is an adaptation to the arid conditions of this plants - the coils shade other parts of the leaves, thus reducing water loss.

Hi Ori,
Another one of your otherworldly plant photos. TFS
Ali.

Hi Ori,

Your effort as a botanist/photographer is immense on TN. Especially we humans, sometimes mistake wildlife for fauna. Flora is included only when it's a floral plant/herb/shrub. Otherwise the symbiotic relation of a animal and a plant is shown in normal or in macro frame. But you have done well for the unsung plants with many minimal frames.

kudos to your efforts friend.

Subhayan.

Hi Ori,
thanks for showing what and how plant life works in the desert by your good image. your observation and notes are invaluable.

Hello Ori,
What a strange species, adapted the the difficult condition of the desert. Very well done: good colours and sharpness. TFS,
Catherine

Hi Ori,

Unusual plant and a really well executed photograph, with perfect exposure and composition. I love the colours and light too. Top shot.

Mike

A picture with a definite wow. Well done!

This is an incredibly interesting plant.

I do not believe there is anything remotely like it in the Sonora Desert of Arizona.
