Have to share with you another specimen of Ophrys carmeli, Mt. Carmel (“our mountain”) Bee Orchid. The entire labellum is only 15 mm long, but look at that design, that mimicry of an insect!
My technique is the same (see previous postings, please). Took advantage of very clear sunlight yesterday. |

This is an amazing flower and has been captured along with all the amazing detals. great colors against an OOF BG. Excellent composition.

Hi Ishi,
Long time no see! You've caught a lovely speciman of Ophrys carmeli. There is a species similar down in the woods by my house. Haven't managed to get a good image of it yet as it is always in amongst the grass.Would appreciate help with the name of the flower in my latest image. Take care.

Shalom Ishi, a neat and expertly taken macro capture of this Carmel Bee orchid -i think it is an endemic species for your country-. Great pov and composition too.
