[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Large flocks of the White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) pass Israel in the spring from Africa to Europe, where they breed, and in the fall from Europe to Africa, where they winter.

This one is a member of a flock we saw yesterday from Mt. Avital in the northern Golan Heights, where we were looking for wild flowers. The storks where performing lovely aerobatics. This is one, gliding at about 200 m above ground, is slowing down getting ready to land.

Hello Ishi,
IT's not often one can see an in-flight shot of a large bird like this White Stork as seen from above. This is a great shot taken with fine sharpness and exposure in a pose that makes the stork look like it was floating in the air, which it probably was. Nice landscape view as the BG too.
