| Every year I take pictures of this beautiful cushion-like shrublet. Acantholimon is a huge genus in the Asian, arid mountains. A. libanoticum is one of the westermonst species, growing in the Lebanon Mts and Mt Hermon, where this pic was taken. It blooms in July after most other plants are drying. It is a cushion-like spiny plant, typical for the sub-alpine (Tragacanth) belt. |

Hi Ori,
Lovely shot of the pink colored shrublet! The sharpness and POV are great with relatively shallow DOF. The colors are very natural with nice textures of the flowers. The rocks gives nice contrast to the bright dark colored flowers. The open space on the right upper corner gives vision to the picture. Well done!
thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla
