| Salvia microstegia is a tall, up to 100 cm, hemicryptophyte sage of high mountains. Israel is the southern limit of its range. Here it is found only on Mt. Hermon at elevations above 1400m. It blooms from June to September with 3-4 cm white flowers. Most of the plant is covered by sticky glandular hair. Those covering the flowers are violet, as seen here. |
