| Limenitis reducta, the Southern White Admiral, is a butterfly of southern Europe, where it is widespread and often common. In Israel it this territorial butterfly is not common; it is found mostly in mountainous areas, flying from April to October. Its wingspan is about 50 mm. the females lay their eggs on Lonicera plants (Honeysuckle), quite common in our Mediterranean areas. |
