| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Colchicum troodi [Liliaceae] is one of the “Harbingers of the Rain” blooming before the first autumn rains. They are found at the higher elevations, like this one on Mt. Meron at 1200 m above sea level. The large leaves appear later in the season, after the flowers are gone. This year we found mostly white to very light pink specimens with sizes range from 15 to 40 mm in diameter, as this one. Note the bud on the left, emerging from the same bulb.
The picture was taken in natural light by a hand-held camera. |

Bonjour Ishi,
Il me semble que cette vue en plongée écrase un epu le sujet et me prive de la perception de certains détails ; il n'en demeure pas moins une très belle publication.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
