| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Vanessa cardui, “Painted Lady”, is found all over the globe, except for Antarctica. It has been featured on TN frequently. This contribution comes from Mt. Hermon at an elevation of 1400 m above sea level. The specimen is shown on a typical calcareous rock with Terra Rossa (red soil) around it, complete with its shadow. The wingspan is about 60 mm. |

Hi Ishi,
it's a wonderful shot of this pretty butterfly with the wide open wings.
I like the warm colours and also the pretty shadow.

Hi Ishi,nice to see the queen of summer 2009 in your country too...maybe this was in Italy,as you know this is a migrant specie,they leave my country the last week and maybe..eheheh...excellent pic,a top quality of sharpness and warm colors,i can see your class to take pics not only whit flowers!
