Very impressive shot. I would love to see the full shot, or at least the whole bird. What a capture. Was it manual focus? This is a favorite of mine. I would maybe look to brighten the shot a bit and increase the contrast to get the elecric blue of the feathers out. I hope you dont mind.

Wonderful capture Elroyie. Excellent sharpness/dof - you can even see some reflection in the water droplet. Colours are very natural and the never excisting background really sets the bird off nicely. the composition/cropping is just perfect. - Lucky you to have these guys around. We had some in this area last summer but I have not seen a single one this summer;-(.

This photo needs a little bit mor light and a little more colors (with Adobe Photoshop you can easily correct these elements).
