[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A pomegranate tree with a few fruits remaining on the branches. The pomegranate (punica granatum) is not like an apple at all. It is full with seeds and very juicy. You eat the seeds, but they are covered with the juicy fruit substance. Pomegranate is very common in especially Egypt, where they are used as decoration on cakes. In Israel it is an old symbol of fertility (all those seeds) and also in Armenia the pomegranate is a national symbol. Recently I learnt that the pomegranate is very healthy and helps against cancer.

This is a tree that I have heard a lot about and had no isea what it looked like. Thanks Monica, it is very interesting. Can you eat it like an apple? And does that looks like an olive tree in the BG too? TFS
