Mespotamian fallow deer 4
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| After it seemed that the Mespotamian fallow deer had disappeared completely from Israel, in the fifties a number of deer were found in a forest in Iran. To save them from extinction, some of them were transferred to a reproduction center in captivity. At the end of the seventies some were brought to the Mount Carmel Nature Preserve where the small herd slowly increased and today it is the world’s largest herd of this particular sub-species, numbering over two hundred head. Dozens of deer have already been returned to their natural surroundings and in the Keziv Stream in Western Galilee |

A lovely shot of the Deer. I like the eye contact with the one on the right. Nice work. :-)
