| This is a perennial, wild rye. It is found the western Asia and is rare in nerthern Israel. This is not the progenitor of the cultivated rye. The pec was taken in Mt Shiffon - translated from Hebrwe to the Rye Mt. It is located in the Golan Heights, 900m. You can notice the tiny hars that are typical for rye and absent in wheat or barley. |
